The Unicorn Theatre is delighted to be able to offer Southwark residents an allocation of free tickets to a production of their choice in January and February 2012.
The provision of free tickets has been made possible through the generous support of Southwark Council who are joining forces with the Unicorn to welcome local residents and their families to the Unicorn Theatre’s spring season.
Tickets have been made available for Scarecrow – a show for children aged 5+, on stage from 18-29 January. Also on offer is Into the Grimm Forest – a storytelling season, celebrating 200 years of Grimms’ Fairytales. Selected Southwark residents can book for one of the three storytelling sessions in the Grimm season – Grimms’ Sheesha, Grim Grimms and A Year in the Forest.
The Unicorn Theatre has pinpointed a number of community groups, ranging from youth theatres to tenants and residents associations, who will receive an allocation of free tickets. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and community groups can claim up to twenty tickets per allocation. This will enable hard to reach young families to attend the theatre and enjoy the great cultural heritage of the borough.
Free theatre tickets for communities in the Borough of Southwark would not have been possible without the support of Southwark Council. Through this donation, the Unicorn hopes to welcome many more people through the doors of the theatre and build a long-standing relationship with local residents in 2012 and beyond.
