The Arch

The Arch is one of only a handful of purpose made climbing centres in London. The centre boasts a dedicated bouldering wall set in the atmospheric railway arches beneath London Bridge station and is set to be the destination for climbers across Central and South London. The specialist team offer tuition and supervision while creating a welcoming atmosphere for both experts and newcomers.

Boules at Hay's Galleria

Balls Brothers in Hay's Galleria boasts the only permanent boules pitch in London Bridge and the City of London. The pitch is covered so is ideal for entertaining friends or colleagues for parties of 20 to 100 guests throughout the year. Drinks & buffet parties on the terrace or dinner in the restaurant can be organised on request. Prior booking is essential for this popular game.

Fitness First (Cottons Centre and London Bridge Street)

This well established international health and fitness chain have two locations in London Bridge, one beneath the Cottons Centre in London Bridge City and one adjacent to the entrance of London Bridge station, just a astone's throw from the London Bridge Hotel. Free one-day guest memberships are available for people to go along and try out the facilities while guests at the London Bridge Hotel are also offered free membership for the duration of their stay.

The noble art has strong historic links in London. Tanner Street Public Tennis Courts

As the name suggests, Tanner Street Tennis Courts are indeed open to the public. They are provided by Southwark Council and are free to use on a 'turn up and play' basis. So as long as you are prepared to wait your turn during busy post-Wimbledon, summer periods then take your racquet and balls down to the corner of Bermondsey Street and tanner Street. As the courts are open all-year during daylight hours they can be a great place to get some excersise during a lunch break outside of the tennis season.

Tokei Martial Arts & Fitness Centre

The Tokei martial arts training and fitness centre was formed in 1975 as a martial arts centre for the local community offering judo and karate classes to local youth. Since then the centre has moved location several times and developed into London's leading centre for martial arts, and the only purpose built martial arts training centre in the country. Non-contact, fitness orientated courses in yoga, pilates and aerobics ensure that there is something for everyone at Tokei.

Yoga @ Globe House (currently at the Tanneries)

Globe House on the corner of Bermondsey Street and Crucifix Lane is a collective of experienced Yoga instructors who offer a mixed range of classes for all standards. The building itself is currently being renovated so a temporary home has been found in the Tanneries (entrance beside 20 Crucifix Lane SE1 - press buzzer no.8 and follow the signs).
