London Bridges Walk 2008 This annual fund-raising event for Kidney Research UK starts at 11am at Potters Fields Park next to Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge itself is the first bridge on the seven mile route that traverses the Thames eight times before finishing in Westminster. The walk will take 2-3 hours and crosses Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Southwark Bridge, the Millennium Bridge, Blackfriars Bridge, Waterloo Bridge, Jubilee Bridge and Westminster Bridge. Entry is £8 per person and the closing date for registration is 20th June (or £10 on the day). All ages are welcome, so ask your friends, family and colleagues to come along. Failing that they can always sponsor you! Those completing the walk receive a special t-shirt, medal and certificate, as well as the gratifying feeling from knowing you have helped this very worthy charity.  The 2007 London Bridges Walk was the most successful to date, raising over £120,000 from around 1600 participants.
