Whether you are new to the area or are just keen to learn more about the neighbourhood, our FREE guided walking tour of East Rotherhithe provides a fascinating insight into this historic part of London.
THIS IS A NEW WALK FOR 2012. Exploring the history of the Thames and with spectacular views across the river, this walk goes east and shows how the history of trade and engineering has shaped the area. Rotherhithe retains its village character along with links to the Pilgrim Fathers and was the setting for Britain’s favourite painting.
Meeting at 5.50pm for a 6pm departure, the walk will start at the Scoop at More London and last for about two hours (ending at Rotherhithe, East London line with Canada Water on the Jubilee not far away).
Remember to dress for changeable weather (umbrellas always useful!) and wear some sensible walking shoes. To sign up for this email firstname.lastname@example.org. Places are first come first served.
